a pair in the sixteen relations

ISFP×ISFP

SEI × SEI

Identity

Half a sentence, and it gets through.

Half a sentence, and it gets through. Someone who finds the same things pleasant. But there is only one kitchen.

ISFP and ISFP compatibility in brief (love, work, friendship)

ISFP × ISFP is the Identity relation, one of the sixteen. Half a sentence, and it gets through.

LoveA partner who does not tire you. Talk of the future comes from no one.WorkDo not put them side by side on the same step of the process.Friends & conversationTalk of comfort gets through. It splits over decisions.

Written as ISFP × ISFP it is the same pair. In 16Personalities terms, the Adventurer and the Adventurer.

No explanation needed

Taste, atmosphere, bodily ease. You find the same things pleasant and dislike the same things. For the first few minutes you are astonishingly in step.

In terms of the mechanism, the "sensing that arranges comfort" in ISFP's first position and the "ethics that reads the mood of the room" in the second sit in exactly the same positions in the other. The view you are best at, the other is best at too. So no explanation is needed, and so no new perspective comes from the other either. The strong places overlap, and do not double.

In the old observations, in identity the same elements of both act in the same positions, and a complete, painless repulsion arises. Since no words are needed, there is also nothing the other can hand you. For these two, the power to read ahead and the force to push are absent on both sides.

The observation says "two cooks in one kitchen, two conductors in one orchestra". Each thinks only their own senses are right.

In step for five minutes; backs turned after thirty.

Whose standard to adopt

How to plate the food, when to get up, when to go to bed, how to receive guests, how far to indulge the children, manners toward relatives, who cares for the body, what counts as waste. Standards clash on all of it, and it becomes constant correction.

The empty places are the same too. The "eye that opens possibilities" ISFP wants most is what the other wants most, and neither has it. The "logic that carries reasoning through", which each produces with a little effort, takes a little effort from both. What flows in silently between duals never flowed between these two in the first place.

Since neither pushes, nothing is settled. Unsettled, you deny each other's senses.

Given distance, it lasts long as a partner whose senses match yours. Just do not stand in the same kitchen.

How each sees the other

ISFP → ISFP

What is pleasant gets through without explanation.

They ask nothing forced.

Being with them is not tiring.

ISFP → ISFP

They correct even how you plate the food.

They think only their own senses are right.

Talk of the future comes from neither side.

What has been recorded

A pair on record

Paul McCartney (SEI) × Michael Jackson (SEI)

Typing: both types agree across several published sources

They collaborated in the 1980s and released two songs. McCartney advised him on song rights, and Jackson followed that advice and bought the rights to the Beatles' catalogue. The relationship cooled from then on.

What matches: in step at first, and turning their backs the moment they went after the same thing.

Love, living together, work, family: scene by scene

ConversationTalk of comfort gets through. It splits over decisions.
RomanceA partner who does not tire you. Talk of the future comes from no one.
Living togetherSeparate the kitchens.
WorkDo not put them side by side on the same step of the process.
FamilyA relation that is better the more distance there is.

If you keep going

Separate the kitchens
Only one standard can be adopted.
Put the reading-ahead role outside
Neither has it.
Do not correct
Two people who each think only their own senses are right.

For these two

How to meet ── Deep inside the same hobby
A relation needing no explanation. Specialist gatherings, fans of the same author, the same sport. The person it got through to at once: that is the one.
Approach ── Connect through what is interesting
The bond between these two is interest alone. Interesting talk over talk of daily life. It ends when the interest ends, so keep the interest alive.
A date ── The same thing, side by side
A day of doing the same hobby side by side. The care of daily life comes from neither, so eat out.
Gifts ── same type; for both, A new possibility
A ticket to an experience, a book about a place not yet known. The door ISFP does not open alone. What you would be glad to receive is exactly right for the other. But you easily give each other the same thing on the same day, so hand it over first, or shift it a little.

PROne thing for this relation

A relation that gets through from half a sentence, so experiences needing no explanation.
