Meet and you rise; part and you want to meet again.
活性化 / one of the sixteen relations
A relation in which meeting lifts your mood. Strongly drawn, colliding, then back again. The size of the swings becomes energy itself: the most dramatic of the combinations.
ACTIVATION
01 When you first meet
The conversation bounces. What one says, the other picks up at once. Things that were not planned get decided and set in motion the same day. On the way home, your mood is somehow up.
The other person is actually making up for what you lack. And unlike duality, you can clearly tell that you are being made up for. The effect is visible, so it leaves a strong impression.
The first-meeting response is among the strongest of the sixteen. Far easier to see than duality.
02 After a while
Days when you are in tune and days when you are not come out sharply. The same person, yet on the good days you fit completely and on the off days something is out of joint. You cannot think why.
It is because your two speeds differ. When one is running, the other may be resting. When the timing lines up it works strongly; when it slips, it spins in place. Not good or bad: a matter of cycles.
So you quarrel often. But it does not drag on. By the next day you are back to normal and it is vague what you even argued about. The fights in this relation are usually not exhaustion but discharge.
The back-and-forth of parting and returning is itself the driving force of the relation. It lasts not because it is stable, but because it keeps moving.
03 If it is to last
When these two are together, people gather. Plans multiply, people multiply, the scene moves. Even over a long time it never goes quiet; something is always happening.
It does wear you out. But recovery is fast too. You drop and are back the next day, so on balance you keep moving forward. The same as long-term friends: meet after months and you are straight back in tune.
It will not become a quiet relation. In return, something new keeps happening.
Both are complementary relations. The way they persist differs.
As long as the swings are not treated as a problem, this relation works very well.
PROne thing for this relation
A relation that lifts with every meeting, so tools that fix the next plan in advance.
Chosen from works where the relationship between the two is itself the centre of the story.
Strongly drawn, fiercely clashing, apart, and back again. The swings become the driving force and it keeps moving to the end.
This is not a typing of the characters. They are listed as examples where the shape of this relation is drawn clearly.
Chosen from songs whose subject is exactly what happens between the two.
The tempo keeps rising while you are together. Rest is needed after running flat out; activation includes that cycle too.
The kind of lift where the air changes the moment you meet. Even after a drop, the next meeting brings it back up.
No lyrics are quoted. The songs are listed for the shape of relation they deal with.
Example: INTJ and ISFP. Every pair in this relation connects the same positions in the same way; only the elements inside change.
Lines connect the same element in the other person's structure. 1–2 (strong) 3 (role) 4 (vulnerable) 5–6 (wanted) 7–8 (capable, indifferent)
Activation is symmetric: it looks the same from either side.
